About [RCD]
Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Motorhead, Guitar Player, Gamer, & DIY Enthusiast
Christian – I was saved by Jesus Christ at the age of 26. I have had my ups and downs, but overall have continuously grown as a Christian (Sanctification) since that time. As of this writing, I am 51. Jesus is TRULY the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Husband – I have been overwhelmingly happily married since 11-12-2005. Marriage requires mutual work and continuous patience, love, kindness, gentleness, compassion, forgiveness, and self-control.
Father – I am the proud parent of 4 children who are all in different stages of life. My son is 36, my oldest daughter is 29, the middle daughter is 21, and my youngest daughter is 19. Each of them has been a continuous blessing in my life. I’ve learned as much from them as they have from my wife and I.
Grandfather – I am a grandfather of five grandchildren (with two more on the way). I can’t believe I am old enough to be a grandfather, but I AM.
Motorhead – I am currently building a 1970 Monte Carlo. I drive it when I have time and am in the process of making several customizations to it.
Guitar Player – I have been playing the guitar since I was 17. I love music and listen to a wide variety of music ranging from Eric Clapton, MetallicA, Alabama, and everything in between.
Gamer – 51 isn’t too old to game is it? Of course not, as long as it doesn’t take priority over the important parts of life (Jesus, Wife, Children…). I am a huge fan of Battlefield 2 (3 and 4 as well). I also love Arma 3. As time permits, I will create post/pages about these games that I enjoy playing.
DIY Enthusiast – Is it made of wood? Does it have moving parts? Can I work on it? Is it made by Chevrolet? Is it a home project? I am a complete DIY nut. I absolutely love creating, repairing, modifying, customizing, etc. anything and everything. I have been this way my entire life. After several years of experience, I have decided to start blogging about it to share it with the world.

The Armor of God
As the flaming arrows descend upon me, I raise up my shield: some of the arrows stick into the armor of my shield, but I swiftly cut them off of it with my sword. As a warrior for Christ, I face a continuous onslaught of attacks from the forces of evil, but as one who is bound in the armor of God, I am able to defend myself against the darkness that desires to overtake me. This battle is being fought in the heavenly places by my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and his Angel army. He has already won the war, but we, his dedicated followers, are still in the fight because we live in this broken world. My daily prayer ensures that my armor is impenetrable; my daily reading of God’s Word ensures that my sword is sharper than any other. I willingly suffer through this battle because of the saving grace, mercy, forgiveness, wisdom, and love that Christ has bestowed upon me, an undeserving wretched sinner. I will face this fight for the rest of my life as I continue to grow as a Christian, but that is okay because God has equipped me with the tools that I need to survive while carrying out His work.
